Dog behaviour consultations
How I can help you and your dogs
Dogs are part of our family and when they experience behaviour problems, it can be stressful for everyone. I specialise in teaching clients how to strengthen the canine-human bond, give them a greater understanding of their companion animals and resolve dog behaviour problems using kind, force-free methods. Some of the issues I deal with include:
Nervousness, fear and anxiety.
Pulling on the lead, barking, lunging or other issues when out walking.
Disruptive behaviour, such as jumping up or the inability to settle.
Destructive behaviour, especially when left alone.
Any other behaviour concern or if your dog is simply not listening to you.
My consultations are available remotely in the UK or in-person 15 miles of Swadlincote, Derbyshire, depending on the issue. My fees can be claimed back through most pet insurers. Please note that I don’t take on severe aggression or bite cases but can refer you to another force-free professional who does. Please see below to find out about my consultation process.
Consultation process
Dog behaviour problems come in many different shapes and sizes, which is why I offer a tailored and flexible consultation service involving the following:
Veterinary referral - I provide you with a form for the vet to fill in and return to me to rule out medical problems. A check-up may be required beforehand.
Assessment - I ask you to fill in a detailed questionnaire and send videos of your dog or dogs’ home environment and behaviour for me to assess.
Meeting - we have an in-home or remote meeting of 1-1.5 hours to discuss everything and create an initial plan, which I send in writing within a few days.
Support - I offer one month of support via WhatsApp messages, video diaries and up to 1.5 hours of remote support sessions with further support available.
Consultation prices start at £350 remotely in the UK or in-person within 15 miles of Swadlincote, Derbyshire, which you should be able to claim back if you have pet insurance. Further support is £75 per month for as long as you need it and payment is requested in advance upon booking. In complex cases or if something different is required, I may offer a discovery call to discuss the first steps. Please click the button below to get in touch and find out how I may be able to help.
